April in the Making

Today I'm heading out with all 5 kids to meet up with my son's preschool teacher at Chick-fil-A and hang out at a local museum afterward.  Before I head out, I would like to share with you my "April in the Making," a fun, new linky from Sam at Mrs. Kelly's Klass.  Hop on over to join in the fun!

My favorite thing about April is the coming of spring.  Here in NC, we have 4 very distinct seasons.  I L.O.V.E. spring...not too hot, not too cold - just the right temperature for opening the windows and letting the fresh air in!  I also love this part about April - FLOWERS!  This past week, the family and I went to a local botanical garden and there is a popular area that has a large koi pond and as you look back away from the pond, all these beautiful tulips and other colorful flowers are starting to bloom.  It's a symphony of color!  LOVE IT!
Because I'm on maternity leave, I really have no idea what's going on in my class this month - LOL!  Such a great problem to have, right?  I was blessed that my school is paying my sub as a teacher (she's certified), so therefore, she is responsible for lesson plans, etc.  That worked well for me since my life right now is CONSUMED with diaper changes, feedings, etc.

My must have for this month is good time management!  I am returning to work 2 days a week this month and with 5 kids, time management is ESSENTIAL!  So, my family and a clock will become best friends.

Going along with my time management need this month, I'd like to try my hand at these tasty looking egg muffins that you can make ahead and freeze.  That seems like something my family could really use between now and the summer.  I pinned this yummy recipe on my Pinterest site.

I am also working on a few new products for my TpT store.  The one that will be finished soon is a set of "I Have...Who Has..." game cards that addresses several of the Common Core Math Standards. Check back soon for a freebie from this new product and a chance to win a copy of the complete set.

My April goal is to stay on top of my laundry.  With a family of 7, I must do at least one load of laundry every day.  I am also cloth diapering my twins, so a family of 7 accumulates a LOT of laundry each day.  I have been successful thus far, but I haven't thrown work into the midst of it all yet.  Here's hoping I stay on track!

That's my April in the Making...I can't wait to see yours!
