Black History Wax Museum

Today was the finale to our month long Black History Projects. My firsties choose a scientist or inventor they wanted to learn more about and completed a trifold project with important info about their person. Then they had to write 3 simple sentences in first person that they memorized. Bringing it all together, they dressed up as their important person and our grade level put on a wax museum. With a red dot on the floor that visitors pressed when they wanted to hear what someone said, students were ready for the event!



These pictures don't begin to give the event justice...it's so cool! The mayor was even in attendance, as a firstie from another class was portraying him!

Lastly, don't forget the big Teachers Pay Teachers Leap Day Sale tomorrow! A sale like this only comes around every four years and TpT says they wont host another big sale until May for Teacher Appreciation. Check out the other sales at this linky party page...
